1. Driver Requirements
Minimum driver age is 25 years old.
A valid driver’s license and government-issued ID must be presented at pickup.
Only authorized drivers listed on the rental agreement may operate the vehicle.
2. Payments & Security Deposit
Full rental payment is required to confirm your booking.
A refundable security deposit (amount varies by vehicle) must be paid before pickup.
Deposits are refunded within 24–48 hours after the vehicle is returned, inspected, and cleared from damage or violations.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Free cancellation if the booking is canceled 5 days or more before the pickup date.
Cancellations made less than 5 days before pickup will incur a $50 cancellation fee.
No refunds or credits for no-shows, late cancellations (after pickup time), early returns, or unused rental days.
4. Vehicle Use & Responsibilities
The renter agrees to:
Cover fuel costs
Pay all parking fees, tolls, and traffic violations
Return the vehicle in clean, acceptable condition
Ensure only authorized drivers operate the vehicle
The following are strictly prohibited:
Racing, reckless driving, or off-roading
Transporting illegal goods
Allowing unauthorized drivers
Smoking inside the vehicle (cleaning fee applies)
5. Damage, Loss & Inspection
All vehicles are inspected before and after each rental.
The renter is financially responsible for:
Any damage to the vehicle (exterior or interior)
Lost or damaged keys
Broken, missing, or tampered parts
Damage caused by negligence or misuse
Excessive dirt, spills, sand, or debris may result in an additional cleaning fee.
6. Late Return Policy
A late fee applies for vehicles returned after the agreed time.
If the return time is exceeded by more than 3 hours, an additional full day’s rental charge will be applied.
7. Breakdown & Roadside Assistance
In the event of mechanical issues, the renter must contact YP Auto Rental immediately.
Unauthorized repairs or modifications are prohibited and may result in charges.
Flat tires, dead batteries, or issues caused by driver negligence are the renter’s responsibility.
8. Mileage & Usage Limits
Vehicles must remain within Guyana unless written permission is granted.
Mileage limits may apply depending on the selected rental plan.
9. Insurance & Liability
Basic insurance is included where applicable.
The renter is responsible for deductibles and any damage not covered by insurance.
Additional insurance options may be available upon request.
10. Personal Belongings
YP Auto Rental & Imports Inc. is not responsible for any personal belongings left inside the vehicle before, during, or after the rental period.
11. Acceptance of Terms
By completing this booking, the renter confirms that they have:
Read and understood these Terms & Conditions
Accepted financial responsibility for the vehicle during the rental period
Agreed to all rental fees, penalties, and policies listed above
